Honduras: one young person under 23 murdered every seven hours

One person under the age of 23 is killed every seven hours in the country, States a recent report by the Observatory of rights of children, girls and young people in Casa Alianza Honduras. The document establishes that during the past 15 years, i.e., from February 1998 to October 2013, 8,854 cases of extrajudicial executions and violent deaths of people under 23 years of age. Among the main findings is given to know that of the 105 deaths recorded during October of this year, 24 cases correspond to girls and boys aged 0-17 and 81 correspond to young people between 18 and 23 years. The document prepared by Casa Alianza leaves exposed the situation of risk in that children and young people in Honduras, who pay with their lives the high degree of insecurity caused by common and organized violence that exists in the country live.
