Heavy rains Arequipa Peru leave at least six dead

At least six people were killed and 48,000 were affected by torrential rains since Friday in the city of Arequipa, in southern Peru, regional authorities reported Friday according to eluniverso.com.
The provincial mayor of Arequipa, Alfredo Zegarra, confirmed to the station ‘Radio Programs del Peru (RPP)’ the discovery of the bodies of two people inside a van that was swept away by a landslide that struck about 500 meters from Avenida Venezuela. Read Article
