GLBT community celebrate Quito center day against homophobia

Dozens of people in the community of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) from Ecuador with kisses today celebrated World Day Against Homophobia in a central square in Quito.

Soria Ephraim, Foundation and Gender Equity, one of the organizers of this event, told Efe that the kiss bet because it is “a symbol of affection and love.”

“With a kiss we want to tell people who are not ill, that we are depraved, we are human beings who can give affection and tell these people to stop hating conservative and encourage hatred,” said Soria.

In a place full of flags with red, orange, yellow, green, sky blue, dark blue and purple, the colors of the GLBT community, concentrated gay and lesbian couples to be passionate and long kisses.
