Four Hondurans found guilty of drug trafficking

Javier García Hércules, Joel Exequiel Vargas, Wilmer Alexander Cruz, and José Luis Castillo López were found guilty of drug trafficking concerning an event that took place on August 16, 2010. The four had been found with 500 kilos of cocaine and were found responsible for loading and transporting it, according to Tiempo. The drugs had arrived in a plane that landed near the Chamelecón River in Nisperales, Baracoa. After that, it was transported by boat to a nearby property. From there, the drugs were taken to a house by car, where they were loaded onto a dump truck. Officials found the drugs hidden in a false compartment while the truck was en route to San Pedro Sula.
