On February 14, 2013, the Federal Highway Police of Brazil seized a stash of 800 kilograms of marijuana, along with a Romanian-made rifle, near Ourinhos, São Paulo state.  The bust was made after police boarded a Mercedes-Benz truck on the Trans-Brazilian Highway (BR-153).  The truck had plates registered to Dourados, Mato Grosso do Sul, a state on the border of Brazil, Paraguay and Bolivia.  The driver in question claimed to know nothing of the drugs or the rifle, and he was taken into custody.  If convicted, he could face multiple prison sentences for drug and arms trafficking.  Read Article
