Embezzlement Scandal in Brazilian Government

•Alfredo Nascimento, head of the Ministry of Transportation of Brazil, has resigned after having been accused of embezzlement. The ministry was in charge of infrastructure projects involving the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics.
•According to El Pais, the Brazilian media is accusing him of having embezzled 4% of funds from the multimillion infrastructure works involving and having given it to the Partido de la República.
•He is also alleged to have given money to his son Gustavo Morais.
•President Dilma Rousseff has suspended all the positions of the ministry, and this is the first time a president has had to take such drastic measures.
•About a month ago, minister of the Presidency Antonio Palocci was also dismissed for corruption. Read Article
