Law banning smoking in public places came into force in El Salvador

Law for the Control of Snuff, which prohibits smoking in public places and sets fines of up to $ 6,700 over against those who infringe, entered into force today in El Salvador, an official said.

The new law is in force after the Legislature override the veto of President Salvador, Mauricio Funes, who, however, has announced that the Parliament a package of reforms.

Secretary of Communications of the Presidency, David Rivas, confirmed local newspaper La Prensa Grafica that today “is current law governing the snuff,” after its publication in the Official Journal. Read Article
