El Salvador coffee growing areas high risk for weather damage

Environment Minister Herman Rosa Chavez said that due to the new climate reality facing the country, which reconfirms the storm increased in recent years, “coffee-growing areas are today, high risk areas”. The minister explained that in the sixties and seventies there was only a phenomenon of this nature per decade, while in the eighties the number increased to two and in the nineties to four to get to the last three years where there have been one or more events in each rainy season.
