Ecuador: Woman detained for making obscene gestures during President Correa’s visit to Esmeraldas

The arrest of a woman and the attempted assault of the mayor of La Concordia, Walter Ocampo, among other incidents, left last Tuesday’s visit of President Rafael Correa and several secretaries of state to the canton Quinindé (Esmeraldas).
The detainee would niece of the late politician Jorge Chiriboga Guerrero, which seems to have made obscene gestures to the president from local copies located half a block from the municipal building, which took place a meeting between Correa and the provincial COE .
