Ecuador, Ugedep denounces connection between former bankers and prosecutors

The representative of the Management Unit and Implementation of Public Law (Ugedep), Pedro Delgado, made the allegation of irregularities in the treatment of a trial in which there is a financial loss to the State.

Delgado explained that Edwin Argoti, Fourth Civil Judge of Pichincha, said the adverse possession of a domain owned, seized from former banker Alejandro Penafiel. The property was passed to Charles Arnao, boyfriend of one of the sisters Penafiel, who a year ago and tried to take control of the Santa Isabel, located in Canton Mejia, south of Quito.
