Ecuador: Protesters Clash With Authorities, five police reported injured

caracol.com.co reported there were clashes with protesters in the south of the country by blocking roads and government supporters in Quito focus on Carondelet.

At least five policemen have been slightly injured after a clash with protesters blocking a road in southern Ecuador, Azuay area, this part of the anti-government protests that advance indigenous and opposition in the neighboring country.

The Red Cross notes that, on the contrary, protests in Quito have passed peacefully and there are hundreds of supporters of President Rafael Correa surrounding the Palacio de Carondelet in a festive atmosphere.
