Ecuador mistakenly put out alert for 6.2 earthquake warning Santa Cruz Galapagos Islands

According to Eluniverso.com, authorities put out an alert Friday night about a 6.2 magnitude earthquake on Santa Cruz Island in the Galapagos Islands. This announcement caused, fear and confusion among residents. The earthquake was misidentified and not in the Galapagos Islands but, an island by the same name (Santa Cruz) in the Salomon Islands in Oceania.
