Ecuador: import quotas on cellular phones set by number being recycled

The recycling condition, set by the Foreign Trade Committee, stated that for companies to increase their cellular import quota, which was reduced last year to two million phones per year, must be recycled. Fabián Espinoza, manager of toxic waste program the Ministry of Environment, explains that companies will recycle 3% of what matters, about 60,000 phones a year.
