Ecuador: health authorities may have undereported actual cases of dengue, malaria on the coast

Dengue figures continue to rise in coastal provinces. Reported to health authorities yesterday afternoon 367 cases of the disease so far this year, while the previous day there had been 280. The new cases confirmed in El Oro, where from 29 to 82 and into rivers increased from 69 to 94. In Manabi, until Monday were at 79, 12 Esmeraldas, Guayas while 103 were reported by 18 January.
