Ecuador government aims to eliminate child labor by 2017

The Ecuadorian Social Front, which unifies several ministries of the country, is now advancing in social investment programs with emphasis on child care, said the head of Social Inclusion, Doris Soliz. The objectives of this agency include the direct care to more than 140,000 children up to three years old and the aim of reaching an enrollment of 98 percent of students in basic education. On Tuesday, it was released that Ecuador expects to reduce child labor by 50 percent by 2015 and eradicate this scourge by 2017. Read Article
