Ecuador: Correa will continue battle against “corrupt press”

Oem.com.mx reported the president reiterated he will not run for another term, even if AP or citizenship promoted a constitutional reform to afford.

“If you want to change that system (authorizing reelection only once) I object, but if the majority will of the Ecuadorian people, they decide, I would not throw,” he said.

He anticipated that a sector will continue confronting the private press which it accuses of “mediocre and corrupt”, and trying to destabilize along with private groups opposed to his rule, which lasted more then that between 1996 and 2006 saw Ecuadorians paraded eight presidents (three overthrown).
