Ecuador: 722 confirmed cases of dengue so far in 2013

722 confirmed cases of dengue were reported in the country today due to the start of the winter season accoding to Ecuavisa.com. So far two people have died of severe dengue in the province of Manabi. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health seeks extreme measures to fight the disease. Carina Vance, Health Minister said that the provinces most affected by the virus of Aedes aegypti are Sucumbíos with 247 cases, followed by Guayas, Manabi, Los Rios, El Oro, Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas and Orellana.
