Drugs seized along Ayacucho route in Peru; Officials confirm new drug route

After two operations along routes to Ayachucho, Peru, officials admit this area is part of a new drug route in the country. After receiving intelligence, police were able to learn about and intercept a shipment of drugs travelling in the region, Info Region reports. The first operation occurred in the town of Rosario. Magno Huamán Gallardo (27) and Rolando Alayo Moreno (38) were arrested, and their vehicle was seized. The second operation took place in the Rumichaca district. The drugs were found concealed in sacks of corn. Yolanda Villalga Gamboa (48) was arrested. In total, the amount of drugs seized was 42 kilos of cocaine. Read Article
