DEA disagrees with Bolivian claims of no Mexican, Colombian cartels present

Government authorities yesterday dismissed the presence in the country of international drug cartels hours after the death of a police Umopar in a clash with drug traffickers in a cocaine lab found in the Tipnis and after the DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency U.S.) issued a report of its intelligence agencies that Mexican cartels have extended their range to Bolivia and Peru. Moreover, President Evo Morales praised the task of drug interdiction forces, according to official data, this year have seized tons of cocaine, chemical precursors and destroyed thousands of factories.
