Cusco Peru under sixty day declaration of emergency due to heavy rains

The Regional Government of Cusco emergency declared in this jurisdiction for 60 days due to damage caused by the rains and the threat these pose to the safety of the population. The regional president of Cusco, Jorge Tito Acurio , request the Central Government to declare a state of emergency through a supreme decree, in order to commit the necessary financial resources for care. According to statistics from Center for Regional Emergency Operations (COER) from Cusco , so far 1,324 people homeless, affected 1.322, one fatality and one missing. Read Article
