An American named Roger Bienvenu has been missing in Cuenca for 20 days — since April 2. Roger’s also known as “Don Pedro” and is the owner of the Don Pedro coffee shop just down the road from the Pizza Hut off Crespo. He literally vanished. No clothes, no luggage, no passport, no note, no nothing. Nada.

His store assistant Icela has spoken to the cops, local mortuaries and other folks around town, including gringos, but nothing has turned up. And I have alerted the Guayaquil consulate that an American might be missing. They are on hold until I hear back from you and others with more info.

If you have any info to share, could you either 1) Call Icela on her cell 095 888 2378, or 2) PM me, send me an email at john@cuencawarden.net, or call me at 099 333 4097. I’ll be out of the country starting Friday for two weeks. Thanks everyone.
