Cuenca, Ecuador: One dead three injured in hail and rain storm, flooding, sewers collapse

One person died, three were seriously injured and over a hundred homes were flooded by the collapse of sewers, streams, creeks and rivers overflowed in over seven areas of southern basin, after a torrential downpour with hail and lightning storm that recorded from 16:00 on Tuesday.

At 20 minutes into the rain Fire Basin on high alert declared by the great distress call they received from areas such as El Salado, Calera, Huizhil, Misicata, Barabón low Narancay, Arenal high Middle Highway Ejido-San Joaquin, mainly because the sewage system collapsed. Read Article
