Cozumel, police intervene as tourist was being beaten and robbed

This morning, Public Safety items robbery foiled a passerby on the coastal road south of the island, where they arrested two of the four alleged assailants, Pedro Raymundo Marcial Herrera and Pedro Antonio Vela Tzuc, who were referred to the Public Ministry of Common Jurisdiction Corcuera Benito Hernández, deputy director of Public Security reported that the incident occurred approximately at 02:05 hours, when two motopatrulleros who were performing routine patrol by the artery road to get to mile 2, near the public beach known as “Caletita”, they realized that four men beaten with wood and rocks to tourist, Charles Rider.
