Countries from former Soviet Union requesting extradition of fugitives in Ecuador

Russia, Belarus and Latvia (former countries of the former Soviet Union) have asked Ecuador to extradite nine fugitives who are wanted by the International Police (Interpol). Six Russians are required for alleged fraud, murder, drug trafficking and belonging to organized crime groups. One of them is M. Myasnikov, who was arrested on July 6, with the false identity of Luis V. Ziga, in a valley adjacent to Quito. Ecuadorian police determined that he is in the country since 2006. Read Article
