Costa Rica, Airport Police Now Can Issue Traffic Tickets And Have Immigration Official Functions

The Policía Aeroportuaria del Servicio de Vigilancia del Ministerio de Seguridad Pública (MSP) at country’s international airports now do more than keep an eye on security, but can also now issue traffic tickets to drivers and detain illegals, among other duties of an immigration official.
The special police body that is a permanent fixture at the airports includes 22 specially trained officials to apply the functions of a Policía de Tránsito and an official of the Migración y Extranjería. Read Article
