Costa Rica, high tariffs stalls massive use of hybrid vehicles

In 2008, the government announced measures to stimulate the sales of vehicles friendly to the environment, but, today, three years later, it is stalled.
Among the benefits discussed was the reduction of duty tax on hybrid cars. The deputy minister of the Environment, Andrey Bourret, says the economic situation prevented the lower tariffs. Read Article
