Company denies any knowledge of U.S. man arrested in Ecuador on drug charges

lex18.com reported…It sounds like a movie plot, but the wife of a Morehead volunteer firefighter says it’s all true. Her husband, Dennis Walling, remains jailed in Ecuador for unknowingly carrying a suitcase lined with cocaine. Dennis Walling said he thought he was interviewing with Atlanta based Air Serv in Ecuador in March when his suitcase broke and the company provided him with a new one. That second suitcase turned out to be lined with about six pounds of cocaine. Air Serv released a statement to LEX 18 Wednesday stating that “Air Serv does not have operations in Ecuador and we have no information regarding Mr. Walling’s situation. In addition, we have no records of Mr. Walling having applied for any position at the company.” Sarah Walling, Dennis’ wife, says her husband e-mailed Air Serv directly, but never heard back. She says the company paid for Dennis’ flights and hotels, but something seemed off. Read Article
