Colombia, Plan to Combat Cellphone Robberies

•Rcnradio.com reveals that the Colombian government plans to ask the Inter-American Communication Commission of the OAS to share black databases and information on stolen cellphones in the countries of the hemisphere.
•Diego Molano Vega, Minister of Information Technology and Communication, assured that an order only allowing cellphones to be sold in visibly authorized stores.
•Also, teams commissioned by the authorities will put forth an effort to prosecute the areas in which stolen cellphones are sold.
•Molano Vega urged citizens to report any stolen cellphones immediately so that the IMEI code or number of the phone can be blocked and thus prevent its activation. Read Article
