Colombia: Over 500 hectares of illegal crops destroyed; associated with FARC

Officials in Colombia have announced that 564 hectares of illegal crops, mostly coca leaves, have been eradicated. The crop fields were located in various areas around the country. They are thought to belong to FARC members and other criminal organizations in the area, who would use them for drug production and distribution, the Comando General reports. Efforts to destroy the crops were undertaken by the Second, Fourth and Sixth military divisions, as well as the Air Assault division.  Read Article
