Colombia, Infant Cases of Syphilis Rise

•At the end of 2010, there were 2.45 infants in every 1000 with syphilis according to the National Institute of Health per rcnradio.com.
•The highest concentration is in the areas of Valle del Cauca, Bogotá, Antioquia, and Cordoba.
•This number is about five times the goal of less than .5 infants infected with the disease in 1000.
