Colombia: FARC Leader Killed Near Panamanian Border

From lainformacion.com on August 25, 2013- The leader of the FARC’s 57th Front, known only as “Silver” was killed in a Colombian military operation against a rebel camp near the Panamanian border. During the operation authorities seized 15 rifles from the guerrillas’ camp. Authorities noted that “Silver” was a key leader for drug trafficking from Colombia to Panama. According to the Colombian Minister of Defense, Juan Carlos Pinzón, this was a “strategic blow” against the FARC. Read Article
