Colombia and DEA dismantle drug trafficking ring including former U.S naval officer

Colombia anti-drug authorities and the United States completely dismantled a network of cocaine trafficking with the arrest of a U.S. exmilitar and a Colombian citizen.

Narcotics Directorate (Diran) of the National Police of Colombia and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Directorate (DEA) arrested in coordinated and called Alliance 31 to the two alleged ringleaders of the organization, according to a statement from the first.

The organization was led by a former naval officer who lived in the United States from Cali to Miami, and a Colombian, said General Luis Alberto Perez, head of the Diran.

The police chief said the exoficial, who has an extradition request against his country, was arrested in Miami. Read Article
