Climber missing on Aconquija in Tucumán, Argentina

Mountain climber Alejandro Sorondo is missing after a storm broke last Saturday during his climb of Aconquija Mountain in Tucumán, Argentina, according to infobae.com. The climber and his guide were last together at a hill near Las dos Lagunas, a location over 5,000 meters above sea level, when they were blown apart in the storm. The guide climbed for 4 days before he was able to alert officials of Sorondo’s disappearance. The search for the missing climber began yesterday and police and various rescue groups are using helicopters borrowed from the government to fly over the spot he was last seen.
