Chiapas, Mexico: 17 Kilos of Cocaine Seized at Highway Checkpoint

From CRIonline on June 13, 2013- Mexican Federal Police found 30 packets of cocaine amounting to 17 kilos hidden in the fender of a car in the Mezcalapa, Chiapas. Authorities were alerted when the car, driven by Nicolás Gutiérrez Gracián, did not stop at a checkpoint. Gracián and his partner Erika Liliana Córdoba Gutiérrez were coming from the city of San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas and were heading to Guadalajara, Jalisco.
