Chavez sponsors new Latin American regional organization

Under Chavez sponsorship Latam nomenclature adds a new regional grouping.
The inauguration of the 33-member Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) is the populist leader biggest moment on the world stage since his surgery in June.

The 57-year-old former coup leader, who wants to win re-election next October warmly greeted fellow leaders including Dilma Rousseff of Brazil, Argentina’s Cristina Fernandez and Cuba’s Raúl Castro. Read Article
