Canada hopes to export more cattle to Peru

The Department of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) reported today that Peru authorized the entry to its market for Canadian cattle born after August first, 2007, and it is expected that the bulk of sales are in Canadian field of dairy genetics. “Farmers and Canadian dairy farmers will benefit from immediate access to the growing Peruvian market, after Peru once again authorized the entry of imports of Canadian cattle,” said the Canadian Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz.
