Dual U.S./Canadian tourist missing in Peru for a month, may have been abducted

HOSTEL WHERE MISSING HIKER WAS STAYING IN HUARAZ, UNDER INVESTIGATION
DAILYMAIL.UK.CO reported – Family fears Canadian medical student, 22, who went missing a month ago on South American backpacking trip was kidnapped.

Jesse Galganov, 22, from Montreal, was at the start of a backpacking trip in Peru
The medical student spent his first few days in Lima before taking a bus to Huaraz where he planned to start a four-day hike
He texted his mom on Sept 28 that he would be out of contact until Oct 2
That was the last anyone has heard of Galganov
His mother, Alisa Clamen, flew to Peru last week to aid in the search for her son
She says local authorities believe he may have been kidnapped
The investigation is focusing on the hostel where he was scheduled to stay
