Buses in Florianópolis, Brazil, Will Be Escorted by Police Starting Monday

On February 18, 2013, Diário Catarinense reported that police will begin to escort buses throughout the Florianópolis region starting today, after a deadly wave attacks that have swept the area in the past month.  Bus terminals will also close earlier:  certain terminals within the city will close at 11pm, while terminals such as the one in Lagoa da Conceição (TILAG) will close at 8pm.  Commuters are requested to ask for either taxi service or carpooling during the later hours while the escort is in place.  Read Article
