Bus Crash in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Kills At Least Seven

On April 3, 2013, O Estado de São Paulo reported that a bus fell from the Brigadeiro Trompowski overpass on Governor’s Island in Rio de Janeiro yesterday afternoon, killing at least seven and leaving an unknown number injured. The bus was traveling along the 328 bus line, also known as the Bananal-Castelo line. The overpass also runs along the Avenida Brasil, which police and fire authorities have temporarily closed. The local fire department confirmed the deaths and are coordinating with city police to reopen the road.  Read Article
