Brazil banking strike threatens financial sector

Employees of private and public banking sector in Brazil have launched a general strike aimed at pressuring the sector employer to receive better wages. The conflict threatens to halt for an indefinite period the Brazilian financial sector. Unemployment, general and indefinite, has been convened by the National Confederation of Workers of Finance Branch, the union that brings together employees of banks, both public and private type that is at odds with the National Federation of Banks (Fenaban ), which represents the management of financial institutions.
