Brazil a top destination for Peruvian drugs

Recent drug discoveries in Latin America have indicated that Brazil is becoming a top destination for drug shipments, Diario Correo reports. An official from the United Nations office on drugs and crimes affirmed this hypothesis and stated that many gangs operate to move drugs, particularly cocaine, from Peru into Brazil. Crack production has also increased in Brazil due to shipments of cocaine paste used in production. Officials say that demand for drugs in Brazil has increased, thus creating an emerging market.
