Bogota, Colombia: Women Arrested for Smuggling $12,000 in their Genitals

From Peru 21 on July 15, 2013- Two women from Mexico were arrested at the airport in Bogota for attempting to enter the country with $12,000 each hidden in their vaginas. In addition the two women, one Colombian and one Mexican, had $10,000 and $9,500 in their suitcases, respectively. The Mexican woman had entered Colombian close to forty times in the past four years, with most trips lasting between four and six days. According to authorities, the only explanation for the amount of money and frequency coming from Mexico to Colombia is that they are payments for drugs. They predict that the money is coming from cartels like the Gulf Cartel or Sinaloa, to pay Colombian traffickers for drugs. Read Article
