Bogotá, Colombia: 20 Trafficking Victims Repatriated

On July 26, 2013 El Nuevo Siglo Noticias reported that in the last few months the Ministry of Interior of Colombia has allowed the repatriation of 20 domestic victims of human trafficking, including 15 women and 5 men. This is one of the tangible results of a trafficking prevention campaign led by the Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with other important national institutions and international organizations. During the first half of 2013, the Ministry of Interior has fielded 9,713 human trafficking calls and has coordinated an institutional response investigating 18 cases of trafficking. Read Article
