Authorities in Colombia have detained 30 Ecuadorian ships so far 2012 for illegal fishing

Colombia has been arrested so far this year to 30 Ecuadorian vessels fishing in its waters. they asked the fishermen to respect the maritime borders of the two countries. The National Directorate of Aquatic (DIRNEA) expressed concern about the “continued” detention of vessels, according to data provided to him by the Navy of Colombia. The latter case was the boat “Girl Vane”, held at 110 nautical miles west of Buenaventura with 50 kilograms of fish in its hold, according to DIRNEA, which did not detail the date it happened.
