Two men accused of being involved in the assassination of Argentine singer Facundo Cabral were arrested today in Guatemala, according to lavoz.com.ar. One of the men arrested is believed to have hired the gunman who shot Cabral and the other man was one of two drivers of the vehicles used during the shooting. Officials have also confirmed that the intended target of the attack was Nicaraguan businessman Henry Fariña, who was riding with Cabral to the La Aurora International Airport when the attack occurred. Fariña was heavily involved with drug trafficking and money laundering, and was sentenced to death by members of his own trafficking network for turning in one of his partners. Fariña was injured during the attack and it is believed Cabral was murdered by mistake. Authorities are still searching for the other driver and the 2 gunmen.
