Argentina: Five people arrested in raids, 620 kilos of marijuana discovered

Five people were arrested and significant quantities of marijuana were confiscated after various raids in the Corrientes and Misiones provinces in Argentina. One raid occurred on Route 14 near Arroyo Guay Grande, where officials spotted a Renault Megane on the side of the road. One of the two passengers within the vehicle tried to escape, but was unsuccessful. Nine bags of marijuana containing 165.680 kilos were found, and both passengers were taken into custody. Another raid took place a few kilometers away, Mo Marandu reports. A Chevrolet Aveo was stopped, containing two occupants that were responsible for communication with the narcotraffickers. Also, officials stopped an undocumented driver along Route 12 near Paso de la Patria. 65,870 kilos of marijuana were discovered. In the final raid, a driver was spotted speeding up at stop signs along Route 12 near Colonia Leoni. The driver managed to escape on foot.
