Ecuador, Liquor Sales Fall 11%, Sales Restrictions Blamed

The effects of time restrictions on the sale of alcoholic beverages and began to take its toll the liquor sector.
The industrialists speak of a decline in sales volume of about 11% nationally. In liquor stores, however, argue that economic losses close to 30% and 40% of revenues.
Since 18 June, the government banned the sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages outside the established schedule. These were set: Monday through Thursday until 00:00 on Fridays and Saturdays until 22:00. Also on sale was banned in the premises located at stations and on Sundays all day. Read Article
