5.5 magnitude earthquake shakes northwest Ecuador, felt in Quito

revistapuntodevista.com.mx/ An earthquake measuring 5.5 degrees Richter rocked the northern coast of Ecuador on Tuesday and felt strongly in the country’s capital, where many abandoned high-rise buildings and took to the streets, but no injuries or injuries were reported.

The United States Geological Survey reported the move at 09:22 local time with an epicenter located 14 kilometers east of the town of Atacames, a tourist attraction on Ecuador’s northern coast, 190 kilometers northwest of Quito. He recorded a depth of 26 kilometers.

Officials said there were no reports of casualties or injuries. Nor was a tsunami alert activated. Read Article
