Quito, 9 September 2016 – The Ministry of Culture and Heritage issued the call for the Competitive Fund ventures performing arts, Manabi and Esmeraldas 2016, which seeks to revive local cultural artistic economies in the provinces that were affected by the earthquake last April 16.

Projects must be submitted in this September, from today, Friday 9 until Wednesday 28, from 08:00 to 17:00, in the provincial directorates of the Ministry of Culture and Heritage of the two provinces.

This process can participate Ecuadorian individuals older, residing in stocks, sectors or areas of Manabi and Esmeraldas; like the Ecuadorian legal persons of law; and foreign older, with at least five years residence in towns or sectors of the two provinces.

The application shall be served in letter format and commitment; and through guide format for submitting projects.

Application for two types of projects are envisaged: first, creation and performing arts, in disciplines of theater, dance, circus, performance, music and interdisciplinary practices; and the second mode that is tradition and living arts, in disciplines such as cultural management, local community development, community tourism, gastronomy, design, among others.

The competition has a fund nonrefundable $ 130,000, a resource that allows execution of 16 projects selected by an External Committee Juries in Manabi and Esmeraldas.

The results of the competitive fund will be published on the website of the Ministry of Culture, while the provincial directorates notified in writing to each of those responsible for the projects selected.
