Ecuador: Cessna 206 crashes during landing in Amazon

elcomercio.com reported att approximately 15:00 today, January 20, 2015, a new air crash occurred in the Shiwiar Juyuintza community east of the Amazonian province of Pastaza, on the border with Peru. This population is settled on the banks of river Conambo, an hour’s flight from the Shell parish. The plane, Cessna 206 type Aeroconexos company lost track when trying to land on runway community, belonging to the Rio Corrientes parish. It is presumed that the incident occurred by poor track conditions due to the rains that hit the Ecuadorian Amazon. The aircraft was carrying four passengers aboard, including the pilot, they only had multiple injuries so they were transferred to Shell to be reviewed clinically. The helicopter was heading Aeropolicial place but had to return for another aircraft of the same company carried the injured occupants. On May 29, 2014, the plane of the national company Tame lost track coming down on the dance Juyuintza. The airplane was buried on the right side of the runway, about 150 meters from the end of it.
